| Tarik - Tarik Hadbi est né le 21 décembre 1993. Âgé de 16 ans, Tarik étudie aujourd’hui en 5ème secondaire au collège Jean-Eudes situé à Montréal. Se passionnant pour tout ce qui a trait aux sciences, il souhaite poursuivre ses études en médecine afin de devenir neurochirurgien. C’est, de plus, pour combattre les trop nombreuses inégalités encore présentes entre les Hommes qu’il souhaite plus tard faire partie de l’organisation « médecins sans frontières ». Lors de cette Expo-sciences, il réalisa, conjointement avec Jeremy Moreau, une planche à roulettes autobalançante, nommé «l’Urbiboard», afin de développer un moyen de transport personnel adapté au milieu urbain. Ce projet lui permit d’atteindre la finale Pancanadienne et de participer prochainement, à l’été 2011, à l’Expo-sciences Internationale qui se déroulera en Slovaquie. De plus, il gagna de nombreux prix tels la médaille d'argent de classe senior et bourse de 300 $ lors de la «Super Expo-Sciences Bell, finale québécoise», une bourse d'études de l'Université d'Ottawa ainsi que d’une bourse de recherche de premier cycle et une bourse de 700 $ du ministère des Transports du Québec. | | Jeremy - I was born on July 16, 1993, in Hoboken, New Jersey, in a hospital just across the bridge from where I lived, Manhattan. Both of my parents had graduated from Pratt Institute with a MFA and in 1995 we moved to Montreal, in the province of Quebec. In the early years of my childhood, I attended a French primary school located in my neighbourhood. A few years later, I would enter Collège Jean-Eudes, a private secondary school of renown that has classed first in the rankings of Quebec schools since its founding in 1951. I quickly developed a great interest in science, particularly in the fields of physics and biology, an awkward but not necessarily incompatible mix. Over the years I have participated in several science competitions in which I have ranked well. In the fourth year of my secondary education (grade 10) I entered the Science Fair, won several prizes and made my way to the Canadian finals. This year again, I have entered the Science Fair and have been even more successful than on my first participation, qualifying not only for CWSF 2010, but also for the MILSET international Science Fair that will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia. |
