Abstract:I wanted to know if soil test kits were accurate. I collected 5 soil samples and tested for pH, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium using several do-it-yourself test methods. The samples were also sent to a commercial lab for comparison. I found that the do-it-yourself kits are not reliable.
