Challenge: | Environment | Category: | Junior | Region: | East Parry Sound | City: | Emsdale, ON | School: | Evergreen Heights Education Centre | Abstract: | The greenhouse effect keeps heat in, which implies that it would take longer for the earth to cool down at night. I loaded hourly weather data from the Environment Canada web site into a database and analyzed it. I found that the cooling time is getting longer for the weather station I studied, this supports the greenhouse effect as the cause of global warming. |
