I am an identical twin born in Vancouver, BC and currently reside in Lillooet BC. My achievements include poetry and writing publications, art and school awards. I was presented to the house of commons in Victoria, BC when I was 7 after winning a provincial art contest. I hope to further my education in the medical field after high school. Despite visual search being part of our everyday life, its process is not understood. computer generated programs are the mainstay of research for this complex task. This project suggests that for some, computer generated search skills may not be an accurate reflection of visual search in vivo. Age, gender, and a possible genetic predisposition may also affect visual search efficiency. More research is needed to further understand visual search, the areas of the brain involved and the complexity of the integrated process. |

This project explores in vivo and computer based visual search processes for humans and compares visual search efficiency in subgroups for each type of search. There is some correlation between computer and photo visual search efficiency. More research need to further define the discrepancies. |
