Biographie
I am a thirteen year old student at O'Gorman Intermediate School in Timmins, Ontario. In the winter I like to spend my free time snowboarding and playing hockey, and in the summer I sail all day. I also love reading, drama, travelling and trying different foods. I would like to be a neuroscientist some day. I was inspired to do this project after learning that people all over the world drink water contaminated with arsenic because it is too expensive to remove it, so I decided that I wanted to develop an accessible and easier method. This is my first ever Canada-Wide Science Fair, and I'm really excited to go.

Sommaire:I explored the possibility of removing arsenic from drinking water in a way that would be cheap and accessible, by using food waste. Contamination of drinking water with arsenic is an important problem in several areas of the world, and many people can not afford to remove it. For this project I analyzed different food products and their usefulness in removing arsenic from contaminated water.
