Biography
My name is Kyle Joncas, I'm thirteen years old and currently in grade seven at Cobden District Public School. I live just outside the Village of Cobden, in what would be considered farm country. Cobden is located about one hour north west of Ottawa. Living so close to the Nation's capital allows me to enjoy various museums and cultural events. My hobbies include curling, baseball, golf, soccer, target shooting and four wheeling. I'm also a member of the 638 Algonquin Royal Canadian Air Cadets. I joined the Cadets because I want to be a pilot, and Cadets can help with that. Cadets also teaches discipline, responsibility and giving back to my community. I also enjoy reading, hanging out with my friends and going to the movies. To sum things up, I like to try new things and meet new people.

Region:Renfrew County
City:Cobden, ON
School:Cobden P.S.
Abstract:My project was to build a bridge using 100 popsicle sticks, glue, with a deck made of construction paper. The experiment was to add weight to the center of the bridge to test the stress and deflection over the total span. I discovered that by building a bridge of triangular design my bridge was able to hold a weight of 25lbs with little deflection.
