| Hi, I am Austin Hogg and I love doing science and am really looking forward to go to the Canada Wide Science Fair. I am a Juvenile diabetic and I try very hard to manage it on my own. I love to ski and be active, and always enjoy trying new sports. I'm 12 years old and attend Summerland Middle School, grade 7. I am happy all the time and can't wait to join this years science fair in Toronto. I will have a blast at the science fair and look forward to the tours and meeting new people. |

When using two different types of metal (Copper & Galvanized) a chemical reaction takes place in a salt water solution. The acid in the solution causes the release of the positive and negative electrons of these individual metal conductors. Through this flow of positive and negative electrons, there is enough energy to power a small LED bulb. |
