| My name is Liana Biktimirova, and I am a grade seven student at Ridley College in St. Catharines, Ontario. I like to read, to learn new things, and to play with my pets. In our house we have a big dog, three cute cats, and six aquariums with tropical fish. I also enjoy participating in various sports. For example, I am a ranked junior tennis player in Ontario, and last year I was a member of the championship winning basketball team. When I do not play sports, I like to draw and to play the piano. I got inspiration for my science fair project while observing my father testing water in tropical fish aquariums. I thought that it would be interesting to test parameters of water from different sources, such as lake, sea, and rain. In the future I would like to extend my project by collecting rain water over several months and examining changes in water parameters. The advice I would give to other students thinking about a doing a project is: choose what you love. If you aren't passionate about a project, your experience won't be as enjoyable and rewarding as it was for me. |

Are Two Drops of Water Alike?
