| My name is Clay Patton and I am a grade 9 student at Major School in Major, Saskatchewan. I live with my family on a mixed farming operation, which means we grow crops and raise cattle. There is a lot of work to do on our farm and I like to get as involved as I can in working with the machinery and the cattle. I have been a beef 4H member since 2007 where I get the opportunity to work with other members in our community giving back and learning about the cattle industry. In the winter I enjoy curling with my dad and school team. I am also active with badminton and track and jam club, where I have learned to play the guitar. Rural life is important to me and even though I want to advance my education, I can see rural living in my future. |

When feeding, cattle get in the way. This device was built to discourage them from loitering, in front of the tractor. By keeping the animals away from equipment animal welfare is greatly increased, along with farm employee safety. |
