Biography
My name is Victoria Gabriela Hanna. I live in Toronto and go to Our Lady of Wisdom French immersion school. I am twelve years old and participate in competitive swimming and diving. I am also very passionate about the arts, playing the piano and the clarinet as well as dancing and doing visual arts. Over the past few years I have received medals form dance and diving competitions as well as certificates for being ahead of my class in math and languages. Before I began this experiment I was not very fond of anything science related, and when I realized that the science fair project was mandatory, I was not enthusiastic about it. However, once I started to begin my research and the practical experiment, I realized that science is much more than just theoretical work and in-class assignments. The ability to expand my knowledge individually, without strict limits allowed me to experience the more enjoyable aspects of science. I haven’t thought much of a future career, but I know that in university I would like to pursue something science related. I am very excited to continue to participate in this wonderful opportunity and further explore new talents and pastimes.

6 Layer Density
Challenge:Environment
Category:Junior
Region:Toronto
City:Scarborough, ON
School:Our Lady of Wisdom C.S.
Abstract:The purpose of this experiment was to determine the densities of different liquids using the formula mass/volume, in addition to observing their behaviour after being mixed together. The highest density liquids were concentrated in the bottom and the lowest density liquids concentrated in the top. A range for the density of the solids can then be estimated based on their location in the mixture.
