Biographie
I am a grade 8 student attending Bruce Middle School. My favorite subject other than science is gym and i enjoy participating in school sports such as Volleyball, Basketball, cross country and other activities. I also enjoy swimming and am currently training for my bronze cross. I am from Winnipeg and achieved gold at my divisional science fair for the past 4 years. My inspiration for my project came from you tube and I saw this girl living with half her brain, and was intrigued to learn more. My plans for further investigations are to be able to contact Cameron and tell her how much her story has helped me and how much I have learned. If I had to give one piece of advice it would be to make sure you are very passionate about your topic and want to further your knowledge on your topic. As for my career plans, I would like to try chemistry and biology which interest and excite me.

Sommaire:Rasmussen's Syndrome is a rare form of epilepsy most commonly found in children ten and under. My project focuses on Cameron Mott who was diagnosed with Rasmussen's Syndrome and her journey to recovery. Cameron was treated with a hemispherectomy or removal of half the brain. My research demonstrates how remarkable the human brain is and the potential for future discoveries to treat brain disorders.
