I am a Grade 9 student at the Halifax Grammar School where I am active in many sports and activities. I have represented Grammar on their Rep Soccer, Volleyball, Badminton and Track teams. This year, I was named captain of both the volleyball and soccer teams and was re-elected for my fourth year on the Student Council. Thus far, I have won the Highest Academic Achievement Award for every grade (5-8) at Grammar. Outside of school, I am busy with competitive soccer and piano. In 2015, I was a National Finalist in the Canadian Music Competition. I have also won 3 Royal Conservatory of Music Gold Medals awarded for the highest piano mark obtained in Atlantic Canada for 2016, 2017 and 2018 (RCM7, RCM8, and RCM9). Currently, I am preparing for my RCM10 piano exam. On the soccer pitch, I currently train, and compete with my Tier-1 U15AAA club team as well as the Nova Scotia U15 Provincial Team. I have been selected to the NS Provincial Soccer Programme for the past 4 years. This is my first CWSF and I am very excited to see you all at Nationals. |

Défi: | Environnement | Catégorie: | Intermédiaire | Région: | Halifax | Ville: | Datmouth, NS | École: | Halifax Grammar School | Sommaire: | In an effort to protect the environment, water used to wash dishes and clothing, as well as water used in showers, is recycled as greywater to irrigate plants. In this environmental project, “eco-friendly” detergents asserting they are less harmful for the environment will be compared to regular detergents to determine whether they are as “green” as they claim to be through plant growth. |
