Biography
Hi my name is Anastasia Joanisse. I am 13 years old and I am in grade seven at the St. Lawrence Academy in Prescott. I am a theater fanatic and I love to sing and act. I never actually enjoyed science very much until I learned about the science fair. (Now, I can't stop thinking about science!) I have a number of different career plans (author, teacher, police officer). But right now, because of the new things I have learned through preparing my speech and science fair, I am seriously thinking about exploring psychology more. After learning about colour's effect for my speech, I decided I wanted to do my science project on colour too. I think that I would like to start focusing on depression more specifically. Some advice I would give to others doing their project is to try and stick to one idea and put your whole self into it. The topic I chose was different from most people in my class but, in the end, the things I learned may actually help millions of people dealing with depression and it has proven very interesting to others who are just curious about colour in general. Abstract:My project is about colour and the way it effects people in areas like, making choices and how we feel. I have created three tests in which I observe peoples opinions on colours and how different colours make them feel. I also look at how colour might in fact be one of the key reasons of why depression is so common today.
