Biographie
My name is Brandon Whitley and I am a 16-year-old Grade 11 student attending school at KCVI in Kingston, Ontario. I am emerged in the full International Baccalaureate Program, as well as taking Grade 12 Latin “on the side”. I am an active member of contact karate and throughout the year I work four jobs, three in affiliation with the Queen’s University Institution. These jobs consist of: an analytical laboratory technician, a standardized patient actor, and a greenhouse employee. I also regularly babysit. I enjoy participating in extracurricular activities, and I have completed my Bronze, and nearly Silver, level in the Duke of Edinburgh Award. After school, I hope to pursue a career in the Biological field, whilst earning a minor in French. This project’s inspiration came from my Grade 11 Environmental Sciences Class last year, in correlation with a University Student that brought forth the concept of Living Walls. For further investigations, I would like to better enhance the walls to provide a better educational and interactive experience. I would also like to look into how to make them more effective in air filtration. For future advice, I strongly suggest that students pick a field they are passionate about.
