My name is Ty Godfrey. I’m a grade 8 French Immersion student at Lawrence Grassi Middle School in Canmore, Alberta, a small mountain community located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. My favorite subjects are math and science. This year is my second Science Fair experience. To start off, I LOVE sports. I’m a competitive XC-skier and have won many gold medals at the Western Canadian Championships, Alberta Winter Games, and at the North American Youth Championships; the most prestigious Midget race in North America. During the off season, I play soccer for Canmore’s Rep team for which our team won the Provincial Championship and I was the season’s Most Valuable Player. I also love mountain biking, uni-cycling and running. I broke 2 school records and won gold in my first provincial zone track meet. I also won the provincial zone cross country running race. I love making sports Go-pro videos. When I graduate from high school, I plan to represent Canada at the Winter Olympic Games in XC-skiing before I attend university. I would love to be an engineer or a sports film maker. My twin brother, Reed pushes me to succeed in everything I do. |
