| My name is Emma Hoppins. I attend grade 7 at Deer Meadow Middle School in Olds, Alberta. Activities I participate in include hockey, soccer, volleyball, basketball, badminton, track and field, cross country running, piano, and band. I also teach Sunday school to 3-5 year olds and I am active in my church. I am part of a service group called Care Club and I have had the privilege to attend WE Day twice. I love being outside rollerblading, scootering, bike riding, hiking, camping, swimming, boating, water and snow skiing. I have performed in the local Music Festival for grade 6 piano. My accomplishments include numerous individual and team awards in several sports. My inspiration for doing this project was to gain a greater appreciation for cells and their functions. I am interested in studying why processes work and how each function together. I would like to further investigate enzymes to discover techniques to break down cells such as cancer or diseases. Science is awesome! I have participated in science fairs since I started school and I have learned so much cool information. Spend the time, be diligent, do what you love, it is worth all of the hard work. |
