How Many Loaves of Bread Can I Make with a Chessboard?

Abstract:The number of loaves of bread made from wheat grains placed exponentially on a chessboard was determined. The weight of 18.5 quintillion grains was converted to four quadrillion cups of flour. The flour made 996 trillion loaves of bread which was enough to feed the world for 429 years.
