Biography
My name is Lily Henderson, I'm in the eighth grade and I attend Seaway District High School. My mother is a teacher and my father is a farmer. I have six siblings including triplets. I love sports, I play Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, I ski, run long distance and much more. In the future when I’m finished High school I would like to attend College or University and become a teacher and then later travel around the world. I won multiple awards at the county science fair and am eager to see how I do in the Canada Wide Science Fair. I got my inspiration to do this project because I know we have a garbage problem, and I wanted to see if I could do something about it using something as simple as soil. For further investigation I would like to find out more about how nitrogen boosts the decomposition. My advice to other students who are thinking about doing a project is go for it, because you never know what might happen.

City:Spencerville, ON
School:Seaway District H.S.
Abstract:I developed an experiment about different types of soils decomposing organic material. It makes a difference because we can make healthy top soil and also help the environment from releasing bad chemicals into the air and also save dumps from getting filled.
