| Caprinder - I am Caprinder Nanrey, a student from Westwood highschool who loves computer science! Track and field is also something I do in my free time, winning gold on my last 100m. My career plans are to be involved in technology, a computer hardware engineer, or a software engineer. Anything in the IT field goes. My main inspiration for this project was public safety and the development of software to combat black hat hackers. My future investigations are to improve on what me and my partner have done so far, and making it more user friendly. My advice for other students will be, Ideas may come and go as time moves on, but the idea that you use and stick to will grant you a victory. | | Francois - I am a Grade10 AP student from Westwood High in FortMcMurray, and co-creator of "Security Upgrade". Our success in the science fair is a result of teamwork and countless hours spent striving to understand the layers of hidden complexity within our world. From my treasured childhood and well into the current day, science has allowed me to feel the rush of discovery; took me on a voyage to grow in knowledge and as a person. The ocean of wonder and discovery is deep and vast - it can be daunting to jump in alone. I owe my sincere gratitude to those helping me along this journey. Some provided me springboards to launch into unexplored areas; others lifeboats for when I was in too deep. I thank my parents for instilling a work ethic that allows me to tackle momentous tasks. I recognize my family and friends for their support and appreciate all my teachers for kindling my wonder and directing me to ever greater heights. To budding scientists I recommend following your passions, growing from mistakes and most of all, never to lose your sense of awe and wonder. We truly live in exciting times and in a wondrous world! |
