| I was watching a TV show and it mentioned a Stirling engine, I was intrigued that it was described as one of the most efficient engines in the world. I basically have been researching it ever since (2-3 years ago). Having always had an interest in engines in general and a great memory for retaining information about them, this was an ideal science fair project. In the future I hope to find a way to make the Stirling engine (origin 1700's) more practical in the modern world. To other students, pick something that you have previous knowledge on and that you REALLY like! When working on something that you have to physically build, start immediately, so that you have time to prefect and tinker. |
