Abstract:The effect of smoking on human lung capacity was studied. Using water displacement technique, lung capacity for both smokers and non-smokers in three age groups of male and female subjects was measured. Data were analysed to quantify both “short-term” and “long-term” effects and to correlate a relationship among these categories.
