My name is Jocelyn Tanton, and I am a grade 11 student at The Fernie Academy. I love travelling, and have gone on several missions trips in which I traveled to Guatemala, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, and Mexico City. I love music, and am involved with singing and playing piano on my church worship team. I am also heavily involved with my church youth group, as well as a youth Bible study, and love volunteering in camp ministries. My hometown, Fernie, BC, is a well known ski town, and so I've grown up loving skiing and also have fun tobogganing with my friends in the winter. In the summer I take every opportunity to hike the mountains in my area, and just be outside as much as possible. Math is my favorite subject in school, and consequently, I am also interested in chemistry and physics. I would love to have a future career that involves math and helping people in developing countries who are less fortunate than myself. |

The bowling ramp is specifically designed for 5-pin bowling and a specialized wheelchair, taking into account the limited strength and joint movement caused by Arthrogryposis. The ramp design enabled the participant to have an independent bowling experience. |
