Vanishing Calcifiers

Abstract:CO2 is making our oceans more acidic, and affecting calcifiers. I changed the pH of salt water using car exhaust, vinegar and human breath. I put clam and mussel shells in jars and added the water. After 34 days I found that the shells in vinegar were slightly heavier and those in car exhaust and human breath were lighter than when I started the project.
