Biography
My name is Shanielle Fiddler and I am currently a 15 year old grade Ten student. I attend high school at the Waweyekisik Educational Centre, in Waterhen Lake. I have been involved in the FSIN and MLTC Science Fair for 5 years so far. I have also attended the AANDC Science Camp in 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have achieved numerous awards and prizes regarding the Science Fair, and as well as school awards for my education. I am also nominated for the SaskTel Youth Awards for my great deal of educational success. And I may also be nominated for a MLTC scholarship for my 80 percent average, But speaking of my project, I have got my inspiration from my community elders and my culture. I wanted to inform people of our sacred medicines from our culture. I was planning to further investigate these medicines by breaking them up and learning about the minerals in them. My advice to other students; choose a project you want to learn more about and want others to learn. Choose a project you think would make a change in our society today. What inspires you?

Abstract:I have studied different kinds of Medicinal Teas that can help our bodies get better from sicknesses. I believe my topic is great because it is traditional and part of our culture. In our society today, kids are forgetting who they are and where they came from. I believe it is important and matters because we need to earn more about our culture.
