Biography
I am a grade 8 student at The Fernie Academy. I was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to Labrador at 5 years of age. I moved to Fernie when I was 11 years old. I participate in volleyball after school on Tuesday and Thursday, and dance on Mondays and Tuesdays. On the weekend I love to ride horses. When I grow up my dream is to be an actor or maybe even a meteorologist. The idea for my project came to me one day when the weather forecast said it would be sunny, but really it rained. So I wondered if Cranbrook predictions were better or worse?

Abstract:I examined the accuracy of weather forecasting in Cranbrook and Fernie over a 40 day period. My hypothesis was weather prediction would be more accurate closer to the actual day and that Cranbrook weather should be more predictable than Fernie. Using a rating system for weather accuracy, I developed, it was discovered that forecasts in Fernie were more accurate.
