Biographie
My name is Harshil Bhesania, and I am in Grade 9 at École McTavish Junior High Public School in Fort McMurray, Alberta. I love playing many sports, including cricket, basketball, skiing, baseball, and soccer. I have been participating in science fairs since the last five years trying to solve numerous environmental issues around the world. I have won several medals in the Wood Buffalo Regional Science Fair and continue to dominate academically in school. I have received the Highest Average of the Year honours in the past two years. I am not sure what I what want to do in the future, but I want to continue to contribute to the society and I believe I can make a difference in our world.

Veggie Plastics
Défi:Innovation
Catégorie:Intermédiaire
Région:Wood Buffalo
Ville:Fort Mcmurray, AB
École:École McTavish Junior High
Sommaire:An inexpensive and extraordinary method was created to use natural polymers from vegetable starches to create a compostable plastic that can replace traditional environment-harming plastics. Amloyse and Amlyopectin polymer chains in starches were separated and rearranged to form similar polymer chains to that of plastics. By using natural polymer chains, a completely compostable plastic was developed with an insignificant impact on the environment.
