Biographie
My name is Aiden Rebele. I am twelve years old. I love skiing in winter and wilderness kayaking and camping in summer. I love living with our three dogs, mastering the arts of yo-yoing and juggling and reading scientific views on our changing global environment. What I don't love are green peas, cauliflower and the many, increasingly scary signs we see today of threats to survival on this planet. We have to radically change our ways and I want to help us do that. I would like to further improve technologies so that one day all wasted organic matter is turned into biofuel. I encourage all kids to get involved, to work on a science project, to test their ideas and maybe someday, they will become a reality.

Sommaire:What if you could turn your kitchen waste into biofuel? What if we could use garbage to make energy? Imagine a world that isn't dependent on fossil fuels and where cars run on biofuel made from garbage! This experiment was designed to see how much biofuel could be produced from yeast fermentation of plant-based kitchen waste. Results yielded 45ml of ethanol per kilogram of waste.
