Juliana Gallas is a Grade Eight student who attends Forest Glen Public School in New Hamburg, Ontario. Juliana is active in school groups such a Global Issues, Art Club, the Yearbook Committee and the mathematic competition GAUSS. Juliana is also involved in her church, helping in Sunday School and attending youth events. Juliana has played piano for almost seven years and has completed Grades One and Three with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Juliana is the oldest of five children, and has three younger brothers and one younger sister. This project was inspired from an interest in both technology and music. For further investigations into the project, Juliana would continue doing research which would look at the possible effect of the thickness and density of different carpets and the effect this would have on sound absorption. When choosing a topic for a science project, Juliana recommends selecting a topic which you personally find very interesting, so that your interest shines through the project and makes others interested to find out more from your results. |
