Biography
My name is Stephanie Dunham and I attend Red Deer Lake School in Calgary, Alberta. I enjoy many activities such as basketball, piano, flute, hiking, running, swimming, water skiing, and snow skiing. I am currently training for a life guarding certificate. I am interested in following in my grandfather and father's footsteps and pursuing a career in the medical field. My grandfather was the inspiration for my project. Last year he had a basal cell carcinoma removed which led me to research causes of skin cancer. I wanted to know how I could best protect myself from ultraviolet radiation when I was exposed to the sun's harmful rays. The research for this project was interesting and frightening. For anyone choosing a project, my advice would be to choose something that interests you as you will spend many hours working on your project.
