Biography
I am a very outgoing and enthusiastic person. I love sports including rock climbing, soccer and cross country skiing. I am a racer with my local nordic ski club. Once a week, I volunteer at a seniors home. I am very involved with KVR's music program. "All Tied Up" is a band that I am part of and I play stand up bass. My family loves to travel, both locally and abroad. I got the inspiration for my project through a conversation my with my family at the dinner table. If I was to take this project even further I would test at least 15 legally blind people because I think their senses would be enhanced. My advice to others would be to have fun with your project and to make sure you have lots of time set aside to work on it.

Abstract:This experiment shows that one's sense of taste is influenced by one's sense of smell and sight. As additional senses are added to taste, one improves by 19-22% in ability to recognize four different juice types. Overall, youths were better than smokers and people over 55 years of age in recognizing juice types.
