| My name is Monica Aida Lopez Quiroz, I am in Grade 11 and I was born in Ashford, Kent, England. I go to Westmount Charter School and play piano. In the future I would like to go into molecular biology and biotechnology. I hope to continue my project using human sera from allergy patients as samples, in order to more accurately determine allergenicity. I would tell other students that no matter how many failures you endure, if you are passionate about something if you keep trying and working hard, you will reach success. Never give up on your goals just because they aren't easy to accomplish. |

Lessening Allergic Activities of Lipid Transfer Proteins in Plant Tissue

Transgenic plants lacking these proteins were demonstrated to be less allergenic without affecting normal growth and development of the plant. Lipid binding was another chemical strategy used in the experiment to further lessen allergenicity of the LTPs. |
