| Miguel - My name is Miguel, and my school is St. Vincent de Paul, I enjoy participating in school activities and also practice sports like cross country skiing and chess, few years ago I participated in the Alberta Provincial Chess Tournament. The inspiration for this project started on a regular day, when my brother was at the mall and a blind person ran into him, and he started to wonder if there was something like a device available for blind people helps them with obstacles perception. After building this prototype, it would be interesting to learn more about how to transform it into something practical to use. For anyone thinking about doing a project, I would say, get inspired, embrace the challenge of asking questions and reveal answers, it feels rewarding when you participate in science fair and see others like you discovering solutions to their questions. | | Rodolfo - My name is Rodolfo, and my school is St. Vincent de Paul, I enjoy participating in school activities and also practice sports like cross country skiing, soccer and chess, few years ago I participated in 2 Provincial Chess Tournaments in Alberta. Now I enjoy riding my skate board. iRadar (Device to Help Blind People Detect Obstacles)

It is interesting to create gadgets to help others, it matters because there are around 39 million blind people, eager increase their independence. |
