Biographie
My name is Declan Mowle and I am a Grade 8 student at Huron Heights Public School in Kincardine, Ontario. At school, I enjoy playing in the school band and participating in a variety of activities for T.R.A.I.L., a program that encourages advanced and independent learning. I am interested in math, science and music at school. I enjoy creating with Lego because it is very hands on. I enjoy car races, soccer, swimming, biking and attending science/technology/wilderness camps in the summer. During the winter, I enjoy skiing with my sister and Dad. Our family of seven enjoys travelling and with them I have been able to visit almost every province in Canada, and most of the United States. My outdoor activities and travelling has allowed me to encounter new people, cultures, ideas and new experiences. My project is called A.R-O.C, which means "Anti Roll-Over Car". I was inspired to do this project because cars on the road can be a lot safer than they are today, and my car will help make our roads safer. I love a challenge as well as helping people, which is why I would like to enter into a career in engineering or physics.

A.R.O.C Anti-Rollover Car
Défi:Innovation
Catégorie:Junior
Région:Bluewater
Ville:Kincardine, ON
École:Huron Heights P.S.
Sommaire:Cars rollover due to their instability during a turn. The force required for the center of gravity to become unstable is low. My car design counteracts this by shifting the center of gravity to maintain stability through a turn making it an anti-rollover car.
