Biography
Hi, my name is Jaedyn Ness. I am 13 years old and currently in grade seven at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Smithers, BC. In school I have been on the honour roll each year. My favourite subjects are math, social studies and science. I also enjoy playing sports. In school this year I played volleyball, basketball and was in the school skipping club. I also play soccer and do karate in my community. Some of my hobbies include photography, art and being outdoors. This fall I won a photography contest through our local newspaper. After I graduate from high school I would like to become a marine biologist, nurse or an RCMP officer. This year was my first year participating in science fair, and I was excited for the opportunity to present my project at regionals. It was a great experience and I learned a lot. I am looking forward to this year’s CWSF and I am sure it will be a great opportunity to increase my knowledge about science.

Abstract:This experiment examined the influence of colour and position on taste perception of hot chocolate. I hypothesised that red and yellow cups would be preferred over blue and tan and that first and second positions would be preferred. Only adult males showed a significant influence of colour. In all groups but male youth, the first position was preferred.
