| Hi! My name is Sunand Kannappan, and I'm a Grade 11 student from Sir Winston Churchill High School in Calgary, Alberta. I've always had an interest for science and truly appreciate the chances I have had to participate in science fairs and express my passion for science. More than presenting my scientific research, I love the chance that CWSF offers to meet great people from across the nation. Last year's science fair in Fredericton was great and I really look forward to this year's science fair in Montreal! |

CDK5RAP2 Novel Approach to NSCLC Diagnosis and Therapeutics

This investigation focused on CDK5RAP2, a protein involved in NSCLC characterizations. CDK5RAP2 increased diagnostic specificity by 400% and depletion reduced cancer cell growth by nearly 30%. CDK5RAP2 was also structured using homology modelling, along with a ligand for future therapeutic development. |
