Jacob - I'm a combination of athletic and nerdy. I enjoy playing basketball, trampolining, wake boarding, sailing and snowboarding. I also enjoy spending time on my computer advancing my knowledge of computer science/engineering. I hope to continue learning well after I have graduated high school as I plan to pursue a career in one of these fields. As far as our project goes it was really fun. This was originally a technology project that Bryan and I were going to do in our spare time as we really enjoy all of the fields that this project explores. The biggest tip that I can give for people thinking about doing a project is just to have fun and find something that interests you. Never forget to ask for help if needed. Some of the electrical aspects of this project will be very helpful in my next endeavour. My family and I plan to convert our sailboat to a fully electric model. This will include a huge battery, solar, wind, water and motor generation. We hope to sail the world with this rig. | Bryan - I was inspired to create a 3D printed car as a way to turn a digital picture into something real and functional. This naturally led to wanting to make it move and learning how to program it. For my next investigation I would like to enhance its functions and be able to control it using an app on a phone. I would tell other students thinking about doing a project to think about what they enjoy and incorporate their hobbies into a project. When not playing with technology I like to play sports. I play competitive soccer and basketball but I also play any other sport I have the opportunity to play. I also like to go camping, boating, skiing, wakeboarding and generally being outside having fun. |

It's cool because it has a mini computer and we wrote a program to control it from a laptop. Even though it looks complicated it's relatively easy to build. The best part is it actually drives. It was super fun to learn about all the new tech used to create this. |
