Biochar in the Soil

Abstract:My project is finding out if adding biochar to soil, would increase the amount of top growth, the speed of germination, and the quality of the soil. I added biochar to half my planting containers and compared plant masses after growth. The soil was tested for the cation exchange capacity, the total organic carbon, and the carbon nitrogen ratio.
