My name is Megan Peeler. I am a grade 7 student at Golden Gate Middle School. I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In my free time I enjoy dancing, mostly jazz but some hip hop and ballet. In school, I really like computers and learning new things with them. I also like science class which led me to do a science fair project. I have been doing science fair projects since grade one and I love it! My project is about bottling. Bottling is when people throw bottles on stage at a performance. I got this idea when my dad was refused a bottle of water at a concert. He was given water in a cup because apparently if you throw the bottle it would travel further. I tested many different cups, sizes, and lids to see which would go that furthest. I found the project very interesting. I have been adding information to my project to make it even more interesting. I really love science and hope to do more of this kind of research as I get older. I am super exited to go to the Canada Wide Science Fair and I can't wait! Hope you like it! |

Throwing bottles and cups at performances happens a lot but which one goes the farthest? When you consider elements like drag and aerodynamics it becomes really interesting! I threw various bottles and cups, with lids and without, to find out just that! Hope you enjoy! |
