Ted is an Honours student who won a Bronze Medal at CWSF 2013. He is also an avid fly fisherman & hunter who enjoys living on a rural property on the Niagara Escarpment in ski country in Ontario. His passion is for railways and he has taken many trips by train across Canada as well as Switzerland.Ted enjoyed visiting his sister this winter and skiing at Zermatt. Ted is also a member of Osler Bluff Ski Club. As a member of the Georgian Bay Titans Rugby Club for the past 8 yrs. he is looking forward to playing U16.Ted has also had a large organic vegetable garden on his farm, and ran a seasonal roadside business. Ted also enjoys acting in musical theatre. He has played “Jake the Peg” in a Summer Vaudeville Theatre Camp in Meaford and he has also played John Burke in Titanic, both in 2012. He continued acting with a variety of roles in 2013. He plays the Tenor and Baritone Saxophone in the Concert Band. This year Ted also taught himself to play the piano.Ted looks forward to working with Greenland Consulting Engineers in Collingwood this summer. Ted plans to pursue Civil Engineering at University. |
| Ted Stuart Phosphate Filtration of Potato Wash Water

The filter was tested using agricultural potato wash water, with the goal of reducing phosphorus levels. The purpose of this project was to capture and reuse phosphate from a concentrated point source flowing into the Great Lakes. This filter was most successful with five filter media elements removing 95% of phosphorus. |
