Shhhhhhhhhh! Sound Absorption
Division:International / None
Category:Intermediate
Region:Central Newfoundland
City:St. Brendan's, NL
School:St. Gabriel's All Grade
Abstract:This project deals with sound absorption and the implications that certain properties can have on a material's ability to absorb sound. By using an oscilloscope to project a viewable soundwave, our experiment has shown that certain alterations can change sound absorption. Our findings proved that both thickness and moisture have minimal effects on sound absorption while surface composition dramatically alters sound absorbing abilities over all.
