Biographie
My name is Haileigh MacLeod and I am a grade 8 student at New Glasgow Academy in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. I enjoy the use of technology and wanted to investigate something in this area. Artificial Intelligence is something that is present in our world today, but I see it as a large part of our future. Self-driving cars are just one possibility in our quest for higher intelligence. My advice to others when doing a project is to choose a topic you will enjoy and want to find out more about. In choosing the right topic, the work is enjoyable and becomes more fun than work. This is my first time at Canada-Wide Science Fair but have had other experiences with public speaking and presentations at the Canadian Parents for French Concours in Nova Scotia. My interests also include Art, Music and Air Cadets. I hope to continue with Air Cadets through to my senior year and possibly complete post-secondary education through this avenue.
