Challenge: | Health | Category: | Junior | Region: | | City: | , | School: | | Abstract: | Antibiotics are among the most successful medical interventions alleviating human mortality. Bacteria are capable of building up resistance to antibiotics. My experiment investigated beef, swine and produce in our local food supply and discovered some bacteria such as E.Coli to be 100% antibiotic resistant. This experiment demonstrates the need to think "globally, but act locally". Thus, preserving valuable treatment options in our communities and world. |
