I am 13 years old, and I live in Nelson, BC with my dads and my brother. I attend grade eight at Trafalgar Middle School. I am involved in Nelson Tech Club, a hacker-space club where I design and build robots, as well as enjoy learning about interesting technologies. I was inspired to find a green energy that is actually practical and can help solve personal power generation. Talking with Tech club buddies and my dad, they helped me come up with my project. I plan to work on making this project a full size automated version that works. Currently I have a small size automated version. |

Last year I used a hinged closet door which I covered in mirrors. This year, I built a small satellite dish covered also with mirrors and designed an apparatus that aims my dish at the sun. What I found out was that it is possible to create heat with a small amount of mirrors. |
