My name is Rosaele Tremblay. I speak three languages (French, German and English), play the piano in my free time and take singing lessons as well. I work at the swimming pool as a slide attendant but plan on becoming a lifeguard very soon. Last year I went on a three week trip to Peru to bring supplies and clothes for street boys and work with them. It was an unforgettable experience and this year we are heading out on a German exchange for two weeks in the summer. I enjoy learning new things and I have an interest in sciences and plan to pursue a medically related career, most likely surgery. |

Challenge: | Innovation | Category: | Senior | Region: | East Kootenay | City: | Fernie, BC | School: | The Fernie Academy | Abstract: | My innovation is a device placed in a car which will be able to determine if black ice is present on the road. The results showed that multiple cameras programmed in a specific way can highlight slippery areas. With these results, I can now design a simple setup to be installed in cars and raise an alarm whenever driving conditions become hazardous. |
