| I am from Gjoa Haven, Nunavut in the Arctic Circle. I have done this project on seals, as seals are important to the Inuit culture. Seals have given food, heat, light and clothing to my ancestors. In the future I would like to work in a science field but am not yet sure which one. I have enjoyed doing projects each year for our school science fairs. I am 12 years old, and like to play hockey. I also enjoy doing science experiments. In my free time I like to go hunting and camping with my father and friends. I hope everyone learns from my project on seals, I had fun working on it and talking with the elders. |

I live in the North, where seals are important to the lives of the Inuit people. They provide food, clothing and heat. I created a test that shows how seal fur and its fat/blubber work together to keep this important animal from freezing in the extreme temperatures. |
