Biography
My name is Faran Khan, I am 13 years old and attend Aurora Charter School. I like to play various sports and my two favorites are soccer and badminton. I have won many soccer medals in the past. In the future I would like to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology and become a Mechatronic Engineer. I got inspiration for this experiment when I attend a summer camp at the Telus World of Science. In this camp we learned how to build and program the EV3 robots, I really enjoyed this. In my future project i would like to compare the brain of a robot to the brain of a rodent. The advice i would gibe to other students looking to do a project is to only do something that interests you and you really enjoy

Abstract:I took two robots, one on tracks and one on wheels, and operated them on ice, cat litter, and volcanic rock. I ran each test 5 times to ensure it was a fair test. After running each test, the robot with wheels finished with a shorter time while the robot with tracks had a lower time on the volcanic rock and cat litter.
