| Issa - Currently, at Saint-Maxime, I am in the Science Concentration program which offers a Robotics class and provides additional credits. I am the president of my student council and I am known for being a devoted volunteer. I was the only one to have won first place at my school Science Fair twice in a row. Thus, I am motivated, eager to work, enthusiastic, and always ready to tackle any new challenge. Therefore, I wanted to take a project that would have obstacles. Being able to accomplish a challenge is more than just fulfilling. My project is very recent and unknown, and it has a lot of potential. There is one thing I regret in life; wishing that I would have taken place in Science Fairs earlier. I can not describe how amazing this experience has been. I learned so much about myself, about science, about the world around me. Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, just to name a few, pioneered different methods of visualizing sciences and mathematics. Condensing into one class period what took them ages to master is completely unacceptable. Therefore, by joining Science Fairs, I will be able to acquire an in-depth knowledge of what we call science. | | Tommy - On se demande souvent : «Pourquoi la science?» Et bien, moi je dirais : «Pourquoi pas?» La science signifie tout et rien en même temps. Elle est ce qui pousse certains d’entre nous à travailler fort pour obtenir un avenir plus agréable et plus brillant, elle est ce qui pousse nos scientifiques – que ce soit nos médecins, nos physiciens, astronomes, archéologues, et cetera – à se lever chaque matin en se disant : «Je vais faire quelque chose que j'aime aujourd'hui.» Bref, c'est une source de motivation et d'espoir pour plusieurs. Voilà pourquoi je l'aime tant. Non seulement j'aime les sciences, mais aussi le fait que d'autres l'aiment autant que moi, sinon plus. Observer d'autres jeunes et adultes faisant preuve de curiosité est ce qui me fascine le plus et c'est vraiment beau à voir. J'admire ceux qui acceptent de se donner corps et âme à cet art et j'aspire de faire de même un jour... peut-être. Vive les sciences! |
