Charyk Hanna School | | Abstract: | My project investigates the possibility of using fly ash and bottom ash, by-products of the burning of coal in power production, as a filtration system to prevent cattle feedlot runoff from contaminating the ground and surface water nearby. The ash is readily available, and further testing of compost made from ash and manure proved beneficial in growing small wheat samples. |
