Biography
My name is Nicole Herridge and I am 14 years old. I attend Pearce Junior High in Burin where I am a Grade 9 student. I am involved in choir and drama. I also play a variety of sports such as hockey, tennis, soccer and volleyball. I attend private music lessons and have been participating in the Kiwanis Music Festival every year for the last seven years. I love hanging with my friends and listening to music and I would describe myself as friendly, honest and dependable. Some of my greatest achievements to date include being selected to the AAA Bantam female hockey team for the past two years and competing at the Atlantic Championships with the same team in 2013. I have also competed in various music festivals, performed with the school drama troupe at Regional and Provincial Drama Festivals and have maintained honors in school. In Grade 7, I was a member of the student council and was named Female Athlete of the Year.

Abstract:This experiment studied the effect of distractions on driving time by using a simulated video game. In general, introduced distractions increased the completion time of the driving course when compared to completion time without distractions. More specifically, texting on a cell phone while driving the course resulted in the greatest increase in completion time of all the distractions introduced.
