Biographie
As a grade ten student at high school, I have made it my personal mission to be as involved in my school and community as possible. Currently, I am student council president, and am involved in extracurricular activities such as jazz band, drama club and leadership; and am involved in several committees in our school and community. I have enjoyed neurology and psychology for a very long time, and when our science teacher informed my class that we needed to do a science midterm project, I knew I wanted to do something about the human brain. I eventually chose to do my experiment on the effect of music on reasoning ability, as it is a very relevant topic to the youth of today. Eventually, I would like to become a paediatric neurologist when I am finished high school. For anybody who is considering doing a science project, just find an area of science you are interested in and pursue it. Science is a vast and wonderful world, meaning there is something for all types of personalities and interests. Also, never let failure discourage you from doing something you love; you can never learn if you don't make mistakes.

Sommaire:This project is an analysis of the effect of listening to music on reasoning ability in different school-aged children. By analyzing the time it took students to answer three questions, as well as the answers they provided, I was able to conclude that the children took longer to answer when listening to music overall; however, they provided more creative answers.
